Heroes and Dreams Review: The Shield #6

Greetings!
This week's review is going to be a very interesting one. The Shield, to me, is a VERY nostalgic series. It is very retro, with the ideas of fighting the Third Reich and other such topics. I will go into more detail about that later, but lets start with the art.
First off, I love the art-style in this book. It seems like a kick back to a lot of the older comics that really brought me into the hobby. It is very 80's in its appearance, and that is one of its great points. If you enjoyed the art of days past, then then you will feel right at home with The Shield. Although they did their hand to modernize the look a bit, it all meshes very well.
Now, as comic reader, i know what you are thinking! The art is great? Good! But what about the meat of the book? THE STORY! You think fighting Nazis and the Third Reich have been done to death? Sure they have. This, however, does it in a fantastic way that will truly bring you into the story. As a matter of fact, there is NO WAY I will not be picking this title up regularly from now on.
If you are looking for a good read this month, or a new series to get into for the long haul, I definitely give this one a green light! Even if you are not into the idea of the book, just take a peek at it. I promise you won't be disappointed.
